What is the Bluegrass Healthcare Coalition?

The BGHCC is one of eight healthcare coalitions managed by the Kentucky Department for Public Health Preparedness Branch and funded through a grant from the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR). Healthcare coalitions play a critical role in developing healthcare system preparedness, response and recovery capabilities

The BGHCC is comprised of multiple organizations to include hospitals, local health departments, emergency management agencies, emergency medical services, fire/rescue agencies, non-governmental disaster response agencies, long-term care facilities, home health services, outpatient services, dialysis centers, mental health services and many other healthcare and community partners.

                 Bluegrass Healthcare Coalition is now part of Kroger Rewards. 
 
 
 
 
What we do

Deployable Resources

The BGHCC maintains a cache of resources throughout the Bluegrass Region to deploy in the event of an emergency incident. These include medical surge/mass causality trailers, alternate care site equipment, shower trailer, Infectious disease management, decontamination equipment, Zumro tents, generators, evacuation equipment, communications equipment, scene lighting, a shower trailer and more.

How do I become a member of the Bluegrass Healthcare Coalition?

There is no cost and only benefits to being a member. Have a representative(s) from your organization or agency attend our BGHCC general membership meetings held every other month, contact us for the next meeting date.
